Joe and Mary Martino, along with their son Don, started Martino's Market in March of 1950 at 1608 Main Street (current location of Brockway Veterinary Clinic). At the time, there were already 13 small grocery stores in Brockway.

The original store was enlarged and a house moved to make room for parking in the
mid-50's.

A new store was built at the current site in 1963 and additions were completed in 1967,1984 and 1995.
